———————————————————————————

Welcome to our Web site about the Upper Dearne woodlands.  We will tell you about the woods, what you can hope to see there.  We will also tell you what the group are doing to look after the woods, both for the benefit of the plants and animals to be found there, and also for people visiting.  The woods are open to the public every day of the year, but only if you are on foot.  There is no access for wheeled vehicles, but we hope to make some limited access for wheelchairs where the terrain allows in the future.

If you click on Album you will see more photographs taken in the woods

Important Corona virus notice

In view of the Government’s social distancing recommendations, I have to report that we have regrettably decided that working parties planned for the coming month/s will be cancelled, together with monthly business meetings, until further notice.

I hope that this decision doesn’t make too much of a hole in your social calendar and look forward to a time when I may mail you to say that activities can return to normal.

In the meantime I wish you well during the coming months.

Take care.
